Loooooooooooooong Day Yesterday.............

Yesterday was a good day but a very long and tiring one too. Michael had to work yesterday normally he works like 2 or 3 Sundays a year. So yesterday was the day he thought it was a good time to work overtime since we are leaving on Vacation this month. So he dropped Aaron and I off at church before he left to head out to work in Santa Ana, the Metrolink Train does not run on Sundays and that is normally how he gets to work. So he dropped us off at 10 am with all our potluck food. And last night it was 9:30 pm when we were pulling out of the parking lot. So Aaron and I had been there 11 1/2 hours. Amazingly enough Aaron did very very well being there all day like that! It was the 67th Anniversary of FMBC of Redlands. Here is the Cake I had bought.
I had designed a new label that said 67th Anniversary so I made it into a picture and had them put it on the cake it actually turned out quite pretty. It was a white cake with strawberry filling.

I took a picture of our Assistant Pastor Bro. Glenn Ridings with the cake.

We were blessed to have our two Special Needs Moms with their children with us again yesterday as well and they stayed and enjoyed the food and fellowship with us all too. Their children are all very sweet. And of course they have a special place in my heart being GOD'S SPECIAL KIDDOS. One of the moms made some awesome soup that everyone really enjoyed. Here are some photos I took during lunchtime.

Last night was Youth Night at our church and we didn't have BTC classes because Bro. Ron and Bro. Michael were both back from their China Trip for the Olympic Bible Project.

But before the presentation Ron had put together Bro. Mark Williams told the church of all the work that had been done recently in Manteca where he is the pastor at. Mark had also preached for us Sunday morning before the potluck. Their church is small but they continue to work for the Lord and have made great improvements on the church property since Mark became pastor over 1 1/2 years ago.

After Bro. Mark spoke as I said Bro. Ron had put together a wonderful Powerpoint Presentation of his trip and told us a lot about the culture and how he had witnessed to many while in China. He also brought back some really pretty things.

The next Olympic Bible Project will be in 2012 it will be in Canada.
We were quite surprised when Bro. Larry Patterson and his wife Debbie came into the church last night during services. He is the Pastor of one of our churches up in Washington State. He was here in view of a call of the Lancaster Church. They came by to see us before flying out from LA today. It was wonderful seeing dear old friends.

So since they were visiting about 15 of us decided to go to IHOP to spend a little time with them before they drove onto LA for the night. We had a lot of fun and Larry is still as funny as ever. He loves to tease our Pastor Bro. Wiggins. Here is a picture of Sis. Wiggins with Sis. Debbie Patterson.

While having dinner at IHOP, Bro. Wiggins told Debbie that IHOP had her picture inside their menu. Here is Debbie's picture inside the IHOP MENU. (SMILE)

So like I said it was a LONG day yesterday at church but a very good one for sure getting to see old friends and such.
