We're Home from Oklahoma

We had an awesome trip to Oklahoma...

I drove over 2700 miles these past 10 days. But we really had a lot of fun and was great seeing Deannie and family. I love to drive so I did all the driving. Mike just stayed awake to talk to me. (smile) Aaron would fall asleep for awhile and then say where are we now? And wonder if it was time to stop and eat again at a Cracker Barrel. Ha ha ha.. He was SOOOOOOOO GOOD this whole trip. He was amazing. I love the big booger!!!!!!!(smile)

I will put some of the pictures on here of course.. but you can see more of them on Myspace if ya want.

We got to AZ....

We went to the Corner of Winslow Az somewhere we had always wanted to visit. What an awesome place they have to really cool stores on each corner to shop at for stuff too. Mike bought me an adorable little bear for my bear collection.
The "Standin’ on the Corner" Park is located in downtown Winslow "The Corner", made famous by the song "Take It Easy". Written by Glenn Frey and Jackson Browne, "Take It Easy" became The Eagles first hit single in the 70's, and peaked peoples interest in Winslow. The verse "Standin' on a corner in Winslow, Arizona," draws visitors from far and wide to stand on the famous corner. The "Standin' on a Corner" Park is located in historic downtown Winslow and features a life size bronze statue and a two story mural depicting the story behind the famous song.

You can read more about it at this URL: http://www.standinonthecorner.com/history.htm.
We took quite a few pictures while there here are a few.

We also stopped at the Meteor Crater Museum and checked out the Crater of course with Michael and Aaron both being Science and History nuts (smile) they were really excited to go there. You can check out the website at this url: http://www.meteorcrater.com

New Mexico was beautiful and of course Aaron loved the Cracker Barrel Restaurants we stopped at in Az, New Mexico and Texas. (smile) Between that and Sonic those were his favorite stops. ha ha ha...

In Texas we saw these really cool 3 crosses on the side of the road reminded me of the Randy Travis song. Also there was this Dinosaur on the top of this mountain.

Aaron was getting very anxious to get to Oklahoma to see Deannie, Jerry and the kids. The closer we got the more anxious he got. He took pictures of how many more miles. (smile)
We loved all the murals on the buildings in Alva it is such a wonderful small town like out of the past. AWESOME... the people are so nice and friendly and helpful. We LOVED IT THERE. Aaron loved the High School Justin and Jenna go to. It was like the ones you see in the movies with the big wide halls, the floors all waxed shiny and the lockers everywhere. It was really neat. It was Homecoming Night while we were there. Aaron went with Justin and Jenna to the Bonfire he really enjoyed himself so much.
The movie theater is like you see in the movies also.. so cool...
We also really enjoyed the church we attended for Sunday and Wednesday night services. They have a really nice youth group where they were all very friendly with Aaron. He had a ball.

On the way back to California we met up with Kimmi, Amanda and Jessica in New Mexico. It was really weird seeing each other in a different state.... Aaron was thrilled to see them all.
