One of my favorite Poems

After the week we have had I thought I would share one of my most favorite Poems I found it quite fitting..

Sometimes life seems hard to bear,
Full of sorrow, trouble and woe
It's then I have to remember
That it's in the valleys I grow.

If I always stayed on the mountain top
And never experienced pain,
I would never appreciate God's love
And would be living in vain.

I have so much to learn
And my growth is very slow,
Sometimes I need the mountain tops,
But it's in the valleys I grow.

I do not always understand
Why things happen as they do,
But I am very sure of one thing.
My Lord will see me through.

My little valleys are nothing
When I picture Christ on the cross
He went through the valley of death;
His victory was Satan's loss.

Forgive me Lord, for complaining
When I'm feeling so very low.
Just give me a gentle reminder
That it's in the valleys I grow.

Continue to strengthen me, Lord
And use my life each day
To share your love with others
And help them find their way.

Thank you for valleys, Lord
For this one thing I know
The mountain tops are glorious
But it's in the valleys I grow!

Hello all it is Tuesday...............

Hope everyone is having a good week. We go back to Enid on Thursday to hopefully get Bubba's stitches removed if it is healed enough. He has been really good through all of this. Please continue to pray for him because this is not over with yet. So we still covet your prayers. Thanks for all the cards, gifts, calls, love and support but THANKS FOR THE PRAYERS!!!!!!

Also having a problem with my van with the power steering called yesterday to get an appointment in Enid while there on Thursday as there is a Toyota Dealer there. Pray it is nothing majorly expensive to fix. Need my vehicle for all these Drs. appointments and they are all many miles from our home.

Love ya

2 Year Anniversary of my Gastric Bypass

Today is the Anniversary of my Gastric been 2 years now and I have lost over 130 pounds and many inches. The Dr had said I would only lose 100 pounds but did more than that yay me!!!!! But I would have been happy even with 100 pounds believe me.

Funny I don't see much difference when I look in a mirror but when I see these pictures I think wow I did lose a few pounds huh? Ha!

Wednesday Morning Feb 10th

Just wanted to update you on Aaron this morning. He finally was able to shower this morning so he was happy about that. It made him feel a bit better I think to get some clean pajamas on too. He is being so good about all of this I know it has to be very painful. The DR had said had these been anywhere else on the body other than where they were it would have been easier on him. But no way to get totally comfortable where this huge incision and stitches are. He said and woman think they have it hard with a C-Section he said this is much much more painful and harder to get over. So that is why he said no school for 2 weeks at least. One of his teachers came by yesterday and brought him some candy and some homework to do so it won't get behind. He also had a visit from the Teen Leaders from the church we attend here in Alva. Judy and Jim are the sweetest people. She made Aaron a Candy Bouquet was so cute. GOD IS GOOD!!!!!

My brother Larry........................

Yesterday I posted on Facebook that it had been 28 years since we placed by brother in the ground. Can hardly believe it has been that long. His nickname was Bubba. Funny how everyone calls Aaron, Bubba too. My cousin Phyllis says she can see a lot of my brother in Aaron. She grew up with us and remembers my brother well.
This was one of the last pictures of my brother I took.

He may be gone but not forgotten.... I wish he could have gotten to know my BUBBA...

About Bubba's Surgery today

We just got home a bit ago. Bubba is doing okay in pain of course but made it through the surgery okay had a couple of complications after surgery so they kept him an extra 4 hours. But we are home.. and tired.. been a long day.. Thank you all for your calls, emails and text messages to my cell today we love you all. And thank you to our dear friends who came and sat at the hospital with us. You are awesome..
The Doctor said Bubba cannot go to school until stitches come out. He goes back the 18th for that. So he will be out of school a couple of weeks. They removed 4 cyst/tumors the incision is about 6 inches long and has about 15 to 20 stitches.
So just wanted to update you all who come on here to check up all the time.

God Bless Judy

Surgery has been postponed

Bubba was supposed to have surgery this afternoon in Enid but they called yesterday afternoon and postponed it till Monday. There was an emergency surgery that needed to be done today and was going to take all afternoon so they cancelled all the afternoon surgeries. So I had to call Mike at work and tell him to tell his boss he needed Monday off not today. Bubba was a bit discouraged and upset about the postponement he had geared himself up to get it over and done with I think. Plus was hoping to be out of pain sooner too. But I told him Monday is not far away. He went to school today hope he is having a good day. He came home in the afternoon yesterday not feeling well. So please continue to keep Bubba in your prayers he has been a real Trooper through this all. I am very proud of considering all he has had to deal with in his short 16 years here on this earth.

Surgery has been scheduled for Aaron

Went to the Surgeon in Enid yesterday was a long tiring day we left a bit early to drive there because we had a major snow storm this past week. We arrived in Enid and decided to go to Dollar Tree to waste some time until time for DR while looking around the DR office called and said they would have to reschedule the appointment that the DR was stuck in surgery. I asked what time did they think he would be out because we had driven a long way to come there she said well he said he would try to come to the office by 4:30 or 5:00 I said we will come at 4:30 and camp out and see if he would be able to see Bubba because he was having some pain and the medications were giving him diarrhea.
A little after 5:00 the Dr came out to the waiting room to get Bubba I love that he does that he does not send a nurse out he comes himself. Anyway he took us back and he checked him out. He took one look and shook his head he said no they were not any smaller and in fact looked larger than they had 2 weeks ago. He tried to open the large one on top to relieve some of the pain because of the abscess inside of them. Aaron went ooooowieeeee.. The Dr had stuck it in quite far it was quite painful for me to watch I can only imagine the pain Aaron felt when he did this, bless his heart.
Anyway the Dr said Hoss (that is what he calls Aaron because of his size) He said you are going to have to have surgery I am sorry to say. Aaron said well if it will get rid of the pain okay. He is tired of this going on. We went out to the nurse and I filled out the Pre-Opt paperwork. She tried to call the hospital to get an exact time of surgery but by this time it was 6 pm so I guess the OR Scheduling people had went home for the day already. She told me she would call me today with the time to arrive on Thursday and they just called me the surgery has been set for 12:30.

The actual paperwork for the surgery states this:
Multiple Cyst Excision (removal of a genetic element, cutting out of a part; removal of a foreign body or growth from a part, organ, or tissue. Will be done under a General anaesthetic (which means he is knocked out is all I know.) Dr told me he could not do local pain medication for this type of extensive surgery.
There are 4 cysts and all are abscessed. Anyway that is the latest news from Lockwood Land. Please continue to pray for Bubba.

Love and Hugs Judy
